A Few Suggestions

I place these suggestions here in the hopes that one day I might have the time to pursue them:

1. Develop a resource for those wishing to start their own small business in Louisiana. It would provide step-by-step checklists for obtaining necessary state licensing, permits, etc. Additionally, it would outline the steps necessary for compliance with generally applicable rules and regulations (i.e. employment, tax collection, environmental, etc.) This may have come into existence since I last looked for it.

2. Create a weblog/discussion group whereby competing viewpoints are analyzed in the generic advantage/disadvantage list. The topics covered could run the gamut - from administration of criminal justice and matters of international trade to living in the city versus the country. This would provide an excellent exercise in legal reasoning because so much of the law is designed to strike a balance between polar concerns. I know a site similar to this existed at one time, but it was a big hassle to join in the discussion.
